Woodbridge and District Lions Club have continued their busy schedule of fund raising events. The Woodbridge Regatta is our main summer fund raiser and we are pleased to report that a total of just over £1,100 was made at this year’s event which will be used for the benefit of local charities and good causes.

MAY NEWS

May continues to be busy for the Woodbridge & District Lions Club. On Bank Holiday Monday we worked alongside other local clubs to help out at the annual Woodbridge Horse Show held at Trinity Park. Quay Time, our joint project with the Woodbridge Quay Church, has its next open session on Wednesday 16th May and

April News

In March several  Lions  joined  the  Great British  Spring  Clean  and  collected  rubbish along the  A12. In May we will  join  with  other  clubs  to  help  out  at  the  Woodbridge  Horse  Show  on  the  7th  May  and  the  Woodbridge Shufflers  Road race  on the  20th May. On Saturday  19th  May  we  will be holding another

As the weather warms up, so does our activity. February saw us join with other Lions’ Clubs in South Suffolk and the New Century Lions Club of East Anglia in hosting a swimming gala at Crown Pools. Quay Time, our joint project with Woodbridge Quay Church, is really taking off. 14 participants at the recent Wednesday afternoon session were busy making cards, playing carpet bowls and board games. So, with 2017 drawing to a close it’s a chance to look back on the past twelve months.  We’ve seen record-breaking events in the form of the Woodbridge Regatta – a first ever sell out for the Duck Dive; and the highest ever participation in the Martlesham 10k, 5k and Fun Run.  The Art Show
